Academic Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography

In WCUI’s Academic Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography program, students can begin gaining the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a career as a cardiovascular sonographer. Students will learn to use high frequency sound waves to create pictures of the heart and vascular systems in order to help physicians diagnose heart conditions. Heart conditions may involve heart muscles, heart valves, and/or blood flow abnormalities. With a Cardiovascular Sonography degree, students will take part in assessing vital heart health, essential to preventative medicine.

Graduates from WCUI’s Academic Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography program can train for entry-level positions as a cardiovascular sonographer. The program can be completed in as few as 21 months, and students become eligible for relevant CCI registry exams upon graduation.
